Wii & Me

I have always been wary of video games. I have also not always enjoyed them. When the Wii first came out I really didn’t understand what the big deal was all about.

One day while we were having lunch with friends (our 4 year olds are in the same class) I commented on how well their 4 year old (a boy) throws a baseball. I was told he also bats well. I asked how. I have been working with my daughter on that since before she could walk. The response was “he practices on the Wii.”

I have been exercising and I looked into the Wii fit. What a great rationalization for getting a Wii.

I enjoy exercising & my daughter hit a home run.

At the moment I am working to help the college establish a web 2.0 policy or guidelines. It is difficult to begin to recommend applications for use without guidelines/policy in place to safeguard both the students & the institution.
